How to cancel every streaming service -- everything you need to know

Use a subscription management app

If you have more than one or two streaming subscriptions going at any one time, the easiest way to manage subscribing and unsubscribing from them is to use an app. The only app in the market that supports resuming subscriptions in addition to cancelling them is ToggleTV -- so be sure to head over to claim your place in the beta now!

Another great option is Rocket Money, which supports cancelling any monthly recurring service, but it doesn't support resuming them when you want to watch again. So with Rocket Money, you'll need to go manually revive each subscription when you want to start watching again.

For that reason (and more!) we'll focus here on how to do it with ToggleTV.

How to sign up for ToggleTV

  1. Head over to the Toggle home page and enter your email address.
  2. When you receive your invite email, click the link to download the Toggle TV mobile app.
  3. Click the "plus" icon in the corner to add each of your subscriptions.
  4. Enter your username and password for each of your subscriptions.
  5. You will now see your various accounts listed on the Toggle home page. Tap the pause or resume buttons to stop and cancel your service.

How to cancel a Netflix subscription

  1. If you signed up using Apple Subscriptions, you need to cancel through your iPhone settings. To do this, simply open the settings app and navigate to Apple ID > Subscriptions. Locate Netflix and cancel its subscription. Otherwise:
  2. Log into Netflix on the web.
  3. Enter your main profile.
  4. Click the profile avatar in the top-right corner and go to "Account."
  5. Under "Membership & Billing," click "Cancel Membership."

How to cancel a Hulu subscription

  1. If you signed up using Apple Subscriptions, you need to cancel through your iPhone settings. To do this, simply open the settings app and navigate to Apple ID > Subscriptions. Locate Hulu and cancel its subscription. Otherwise:
  2. Log into Hulu on the web.
  3. Go to your Account page.
  4. Select "Cancel" under "Your Subscription."
  5. You will be asked if you want to pause or cancel your account. If you plan to resume your account within three months, you should pause; otherwise, cancel it.

How to cancel a Prime Video subscription

  1. Login to Accounts & Settings in a web browser.
  2. Go to "Account."
  3. If your subscription is Prime Video-only, select "End Subscription."
  4. If not, your only option to save money is to cancel your Prime subscription entirely. (Prime Video comes for free in your Prime subscription.)

How to cancel a YouTube TV subscription

  1. Go to tv.youtube.com in a web browser.
  2. Log into your account.
  3. Select your profile avatar in the top right corner.
  4. Go Settings > Membership.
  5. Click "Manage."
  6. Select "Cancel membership > Cancel."

How to cancel a Disney+ subscription

  1. Go to Disney+ in a web browser.
  2. Log into your account.
  3. Select your profile avatar.
  4. Select "Account."
  5. Under "Subscription," select your Disney+ subscription.
  6. Select "Cancel Subscription."

How to cancel an HBO Max subscription

  1. If you signed up using Apple Subscriptions, you need to cancel through your iPhone settings. To do this, simply open the settings app and navigate to Apple ID > Subscriptions. Locate HBO Max and cancel its subscription. Otherwise:
  2. Go to HBO Max in a web browser.
  3. Log into your account.
  4. Select your profile in the upper right.
  5. Select "Settings."
  6. Choose "Manage Subscription."
  7. Choose "Cancel Subscription.
  8. Confirm your cancellation.

How to cancel a Peacock subscription

  1. If you signed up using Apple Subscriptions, you need to cancel through your iPhone settings. To do this, simply open the settings app and navigate to Apple ID > Subscriptions. Locate Peacock and cancel its subscription. Otherwise:
  2. Login to your Peacock account in a web browser.
  3. Go to "Plans & Payments."
  4. Click on "Change Plan."
  5. Check "Peacock Free" to switch to the free plan.
  6. Once confirmed, you will get a confirmation email. This may take a few hours.

How to cancel a FuboTV subscription

  1. If you signed up using Roku, you need to cancel through your Roku settings. Otherwise:
  2. Login to fuboTV in a web browser.
  3. Click the current profile next to the search field and select "My Account."
  4. Select "Subscription and Billing."
  5. Click "Cancel Subscription."
  6. Select "Complete cancellation."
  7. You will be asked if you want to pause or cancel your account. If you plan to resume your account within three months, you should pause; otherwise, cancel it.

How to cancel an ESPN+ subscription

  1. Login to your ESPN+ account with a web browser.
  2. Go to your profile avatar in the upper right of the page.
  3. Under the "Manage My" section, select "ESPN+ Subscriptions."
  4. Select "Manage Subscription."
  5. Select "Cancel Subscription."
  6. Select "Cancel Now."

How to cancel a Discovery+ subscription

  1. If you subscribed through a third-party store, such as the Apple Store or Roku, you will need to cancel through there. Otherwise:
  2. Login to your Discovery+ account with a web browser.
  3. Choose "Account" from the dropdown menu.
  4. On the "Manage Your Account" screen, under the "Plans" section, select "Cancel."
